Artist Will Kellermann
Will Kellermann (1944, NL) is an unusually versatile painter, trained in the Art Academy's of Tilburg and The Hague and whose motto is: "My main purpose is to bring across beauty in my paintings." Large, often flamboyant colourful works are the result, but always dominated by Romanticism. In every work, her profound and classic art education comes through. During the mid-1980's, she made her name primarily with "silkcolors" a technique to create large canvases of silk fabric using the capillary action of the silk fiber. Taught by the famous Japanese artist Kobayashi Kellermann today is considered the queen of Silkcolor. Trained early on as a watercolor artist, her transition to painting on silk was a natural process enabling her express her originality witha spontaneous sparkling play of colours which are her hallmark.
